Mands is married to Steve, an Anglican vicar, and they live in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside with their teenage daughter and two fluffy guinea pigs. Since childhood, Mands has enjoyed stories, particularly personal testimonies of God moving powerfully in people's lives. Back then, she could never have foreseen the journey ahead or imagined how God would use her own story to offer a message of hope and transformation through challenging times.
Although Mands trained as a contemporary dancer, she never pursued it professionally because of being emotionally shut down. She now has such joy, dancing with an emotional freedom. God has indeed replaced her spirit of despair with a garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). Mands also treasures the freedom of exploring nature. There is nothing she loves more than walking through local woods, across fields or beside lakes in search of interesting wildlife. When she isn't out and about, you may find her curled up with a cup of tea reading a new book.
